Using an excessive amount of MySQL resources - Server Performance Warning

Показать описание
"Server Performance Warning!"
"Your site is using an excessive amount of MySQL resources! If you are unable to comply with these requests your account will be automatically deactivated by 11/07/2013 to maintain proper server performance."
This was the message my hosting provider, HostMonster, emailed to me.
I didn't have the slightest clue what it meant and after contacting HostMonster, it was evident that it was going to be completely up to me to resolve the problem on my own or face the consequence to having my site shut down.
Online investigation revealed that most of the information out there was aimed at someone with an understanding of MySQL databases, etc., which I didn't have. I'm completely capable of building a website and installing plugins etc., but this was an area that was outside my expertise. I didn't understand anything that was readily available online.
I found lots of references to the following terms, but none of it made sense to me enough to explain how I could figure it out and same my domain from suspension.
