I would have used a suction pump for those amounts because desoldering wick is damn expensive

I'd use a solder sucker for that much solder.

You can use suction pump or a teflon spatule to move away all the solder 😉

Yes! An iron alone wont have enough thermal load, and your wick will stick. Better to use the hot air to keep the plane you're working on hot! That, or a warming table.

With your 3rd hand, right? Who's holding all three things, again? I heat the board with hot air until solder melts then put hot air wand in it's stand - Sure, the solder goes solid again BUT the board doesn't heat-soak the iron and the wick now picks up all the solder the iron melts easily.

I'm gonna use large soldering wick at least or just rosin flux with large stranded wire

If you have this big amount, better use a suction pump

Get a real soldering station that comes with the solder iron vacuum, it melts and sucks solder at the same time, it has soldering iron, hot air gun and other features too.

Why remove that solder? It's not holding anything down just making the track thicker to carry more current.
