as a developer i need to make 2 remarks about this video. first at this price I'll be happy the app even starts because those are very low and they'll be basically working at around 10$ an hour if not less depending on their efficiency, and assuming this app takes around 10$ to finish i won't be accepting less than 500$ and that does not include the backend part. second thing, most developers suck at design so don't set your expectations too high in that part. personally i won't accept a job without a design or I'll have to charge extra to hire a designer for the job because i refuse to deliver shitty looking apps because that would reflect on the customer evaluation of my work as you can see here, or I'll have to use a UI Library that you approve before hand .

Software engineer here. I am having a hard time understanding how other devs can accept such low budget. knowing very well that the person hiring them will not think twice about paying that same amount for a lunch date. To each their own I guess.

The factor you used to sort the devs majorly boiled down to user interface, which is unfair because you might have lost a good developer to a bad design as that's not their domain (they just applied the most generic Google's Material template). That's why as people suggested in the comments, first reach a UI/UX designer, get the design and then approach a developer to make an app with that.

I'm an Android developer, the amount of code work involved here is astonishing in that short development time.

Just so people know, the price of an app can vary considerably depending on how complex your app is. Don't expect any app you want to build to only be $200. That is only 10 hours of work at $20/hr. As an app increases in complexity the amount of work required to build, test and maintain increases dramatically.

even though the design and quality of this app are poor but still these prices are very low, they should be at a minimum $500, i am working a mobile app now its kinda e-commerce and i am doing it for $7k no cap

For such low prices, you should expect the default styling that you get out of the box with these development frameworks. It's much extra work to customize the look and feel of UI elements to match some design.
