its a problem for sound an issue you haven't addressed. Instead of the hdmi cables also going through these things into another screen like a tv or monitor it screws up the resolution too. I just want it as a standalone system that captures sound too. Is there a way to connect a mic to it? Would i put the mic in the av in socket?

Thanks for the review. I have 2 DigitNow recorders. Both devices put a chapter break at :24:18, which adds a glitch and a short space between the recordings. Can this feature be bypassed? The machine is set on Do Not Stop Recording. Other than this, the DigitNow performs well. Thanks!

I have a Sony 8 mm camcorder, that does not have RCA VIDEO-SOUND OUTPUT. Al cameras only have 1/4 inch miniplag output. I have connected this device to 3 different cameras with A Y OUTPUT, but I have no audio-video signal in the recorder.HDMI is ok. Do you have any solution to fix the problem ? Thanks.
