I was born in the U.S, but my parents were from Guatemala: they suffered the effects of the civil war while it was going on and while it was over. It’s sad to see how these conflicts instigated by these super powers in Central Americas politics affected the lives of my family and many others. Thanks for at least showing us this piece of history that many schools in the U.S. are afraid to show.
