CRAZY 600+ BHP SUPERCHARGED S54 BMW E36 BUILD!

We've had a few comments from viewers who keep noticing this strange pink thing in the background of our E34 rebuild videos - well it turns out that as well as a HUGE money pit, it's actually a drift car. Workshop manager Stu has had this car "Sindy" for a couple of years, most of which has been spent in the garage. Sindy was running an S54 to begin with, which then in 2017 became supercharged and Stu used it for Driftcup at Driftland in 2017. Shortly after, the engine spun a shell! So obviously, the natural thing would be to repair this. Nope, not Stu. It's had a nut and bolt refresh with new parts from BMW, has been forged, with a new crank, and new vanos system, new coolers, new EVERYTHING really. At the moment it's running the same supercharger mapped to 600BHP, but with the larger charger that Stu plans to fit, the car should be capable of over 1000BHP, crazy!

Obviously this sort of build comes at massive financial cost, and also results in the rest of the Driftland staff giving him a proper hard time about it. Well deserved, we reckon.

I think he's a legend. Trying to run and maintain a drift car of any level means kissing your time and money goodbye anyway, so why not go balls to the wall and see what you end up with? 😁 A big power 36 screaming its bollocks off is a thing of beauty, and makes my day!
