The Dada Zarude and shiny Celebi also was available in the US and I got them both. You had to sign up for a online Pokemon newsletter before a certain time and you'd get a email but unfortunately a lot of people didn't get the email like they were supposed to, myself included. So I went on the site and asked about it and got my codes. Babayum.

I assume you meant these two pokemon can't learn these attacks in recent time, but just to clarify for those who don't know: Charizard can learn Seismic Toss, and Machamp can learn Double-Edge in specific ways that don't require an event. Simply put, there are Move Tutors in gen 3 that can pull this off.

I have access to most of these pokemon except the foreign/location exclusives. I am happy that I haven't gotten rid of them as a kid.

I had the opportunity to own a pokewalker before, so I got the Pikachu with Fly and Surf, and it was the most amazing time of my life. Having to walk with your pokemon and containing a rare move is priceless!

I've got some of these but the Vivillon are definitely my favorite. I remember spending a lot of my time on the gts looking for the different patterns so I was happy when those events came out to add two more :D

Seismic Toss actually isn't rare on Charizard at all, it could be taught to Charizard (as well as many other pokemon) in Generation 3 via a move tutor in FRLG, Emerald, and in Pokemon XD.

I think something more rare is the surfing and flying pikachu you could only get with the pokewalker during a one month period. You had to walk 10k, with a pokemon in the walker, and have (i think) a 3% chance of the pikachu you encountered having Fly or Surf. That bugger was hard to find!

I can confirm that as of Scarlet/Violet, Vivillon's Fancy pattern is back! The first Scatterbug I evolved ended up being Fancy, so I'm not sure if that's just how S/V work or if it was random chance, but it is obtainable again!

That v-create Rayquaza....I remember seeing that event on serebii and it quickly disappeared and when I asked my poke friends about it they said it was never a thing. The fact you brought it up brings nostalgia, how I wish I got it!

In regards to Zarude and Celebi

I didn't have a switch (Still don't) and I will never forget the excited expression on my best friend's face as I input those codes. I automatically subscribe to the trainer club newsletter, so this was a really exciting moment for me. I was so psyched when I got those codes, I was so happy I was nearly crying. I've never owned a rare Pokemon in my life, and I was stoked at these two. I watch the movie on my birthday every year just to remind myself how excited me and my friend were on that day.

You actually got the one about Dada Zarude wrong— if you were part of the Pokémon trainer club newsletter by September 25th, 2021, a code to receive both shiny celebi and dada zarude would be sent to your registered email.
