Watching this in late 2020 and it gave me the impression I am watching a tutorial from the early 90's :) and it just feels nostalgic

@dankegel Im amazed that Mr. Dan Kegel commented on my vid. Im happy to be in your presence! :) Yeah maybe thats easier but I just went with what I thought would be easier for new ppls. Surely everyone knows how to copy and paste... at least thats the way I was thinking.

@MrVeeBlog Hi there, thanks! Yeah from now onwards in Ubuntu 11.04 Wine installs Winetricks too! So this is not really necessary unless you want to run the very latest Winetricks. It will simply be a menu entry under Wine called Winetricks.

...and now installing GW from the list in winetricks :)

Good job on Winetricks. Its new stuff for me so it was good to know it exists and how its used. Thanks again. Question: does installing Wine in 11.4 install Winetricks with it or is that a separate installation?

Better to right-click on the script and Save As, rather than pasting into
a text editor, IMHO :-)

It's not a matter of easy or not easy; it's more that copy-paste from an editor can corrupt scripts (by e.g. wordwrapping them or removing funny chars).

What version of wine do you have installed?

I'm running Mint 12 with Wine and Winetricks installed. I've installed Guildwars but it complains of no directx or updated graphics driver. I've installed both but still get the error. Any idea what i can try next? Nice vid btw TY :)
