thanks for making this. It helped me get a tricky to run app to start. I created a bash script with the wine commands and added it to my desktop for easy startup.

Hi, I have enjoyed your challenge videos, thanks for taking the time to make them. As you mentioned you have issues with running apps under wine, you may want to run winecfg and set the environment to Windows xp, then stick to 32 bit apps.
This - together with mapping function call to native libs installed within the bottle - may fix your Adobe acrobat woes.

Great Chris, thanks for sharing your knowledge. I've only just replaced all my Windows PC's with Linux Mint and am very happy with it. I left one that dual boots with Win 10 as I still want to use Lumix Tether for my G9 camera. I followed your instructions to use Wine to install Tether on my laptop, it installed straight away and runs up to the stage where the banner shows on my desktop 'connect Lumix camera' but when I plug the camera in with my camera set to tether mode, nothing ever happens so It looks lie my first attempt will require more research. All other USB drives work with Mint so it's not that.

This vital info, thanks for this video. I have a bit more complicated issue with a piece of windows software that crashes during startup because I think its looking for a component I don't have installed. I have to take a close look of the crash errors to try to determine what it needs. Something to do with a symbol library, not sure yet.

Is there a way to install the Windows Live Essentials in Mint 19.1, I have the disk and all I'd like off of it is, Live Movie Maker, and Live Photo.
