Love watching your videos. Very informative. Is there a list, of all the department 56 trick or treat lane series houses?

In my opinion, This theme is all about the accessories. The buildings are great but it’s the street, the trees, the sidewalk, etc that make it so realistic and authentic

Great suggestions. No surprise you picked black cat flat. Its a stunning piece. I think my faves are the cemetery house & glares & stares house.

Lemax or sept 56 should do horror Halloween lane series based on classic horror movies I bet it would crush everything

I dove head first into Villaging 2.5 years ago with 1031 Trick or Treat Drive, second building was Black Cat Flat. Your Village Idiots video where you all did your favorites countdown made that decision easy when I knew I wanted to get into this obsession. 😊 Just got the Halloween Party House last week from Ryan @ Haunters Nation and will be putting that color change LED like Landon @ Halloween Villages did with his. What a great building! Thanks for another awesome video! 👏🎉

I recently went all in and decided to get Black Cat Flat. Considering how much D56 is charging for new pieces I don’t feel like I overpaid by much for this gift set. I love it. I’m getting pumped to start working on village since we finished our Lava Lounge (our home tiki bar that rivals some actual bars). Building a mini village is a piece of cake next to building a 16’x12’ enclosed backyard bar.

My favorite accessories I acquired last year are the Spooky Lemonade Stand and Skelfie.

I absolutely 🧡🖤 this theme!! For me, I think the front yards from Lemax and all the little accessories make it! I mix Lemax and D56 together and love creating a neighborhood filled with trick-or-treaters running everywhere! THANK YOU for continuing to do these videos. Watching these has me pumped for this season.

Another well done guide. While they're not my cup of hemlock, I enjoy seeing the variety.

Thank you, Doug. I just started my collection a couple years ago, and struggled not knowing what to buy. I love your videos and get a lot of info from them.

perhaps an accessory but the Lemax front yard series, I believe there was 3 of them can easily convert any house into a trick or treat house essentially.

Kelly definitely inspires me every year. Her trick or treat village is perfection. Brings me back to being a kid in the early 80s when Halloween was at it best. Seems like the entire neighborhood decorated. With so many haunted houses. Kids these day really missed out . I still try to make it fun for the kids . In my neighborhood including my house I think there are only 10 house decorated.

The Lemax figures fit the D56 houses better. D56 figures wouldn’t even fit through the doors of their houses 🤣🤣.

Love love love this video Doug! I think the trick or treat houses is my favorite theme, they always make me so happy. I definitely want to get more, but it will have to be some older ones.

I knew you were going to pick Black Cat Flat based on your previous reviews. I didn’t think I would like it at first because the sign is over the top, however, I love the lighting immensely with orange on the outside and green on the inside. I wonder what you think of Pumpkin House? I realize that it’s older and harder to get and more expensive, but I love it because it’s not as outlandish and because it’s pumpkins. I think it’s more versatile because it can fit not only in trick-or-treat lane but also in a farm or pumpkin patch theme too.

All great picks. D56 definitely rules Trick 'r' Treat houses. For me, the theme of the recent Cemetery house is awesome... just enough detail to be a little *too* eerie (not tacky). I put it in a dark, back corner by a bigger cemetery that I've built, with a bunch of Carl-inspired handmade trees, for my little Trick 'r' Treat lane. I like Black Cat Flat too, for the orange & green lights. My unicorn is the D56 Pumpkin House.

Black Cat Flat rules, great pick! There are too many accessories that I love to list them all, but I have to mention Lemax "Decorating for Halloween" and Lemax "Cave of Blood."

1031 TOTL is the definition of a trick house, absolutely love it. The lights on the fence are Christmas colored which is just a really neat touch and I love the style of the house. As for the honor of famous haunted houses, even though I know none of these will be mentioned since I know your favorites are the more popular typical ones like Last house on the left. My choices are:
Mordecai because the style of the house is brilliant as is the soundtrack.
Gravely Estates, because the house is a gorgeous Tudor with it being their rarest and most unique looking of all houses. The moving light piece is incredible as well.
Grimsly Manor, simply because it’s a classic and the design is beautiful.
Morbid Manor, because the design of the house is perfectly creepy with those two roof tops, along with the two classic characters occupying it.
Withered Mansion, because it’s beautifully styled to look old and I love the design of the house, the window scene is awesome too.

Love these videos! Any chance there will be one focused around a bar / pub theme?
