Testing click style torque wrenches, Craftsman, Husky, Teng, Icon, Neiko and Gedore

Not the results I was expecting, that's why these tests are important.

3/8 digital and In-lbs wrenches will be tested in the coming months.

Please check my other videos out for brands not seen here.

Thank you for your time and review. I have the Craftsman 3/8". It has been durable and reliable in my automotive repair. Have a great day!

Thanks for the Review and update. I ended up getting the Craftsman, Since I already have Craftsman tools.

Wow. Low to mid range is what my 3/8 ICON sees most. Your results are comforting even though you failed it on the high end.

Nice video. Husky has a "lifetime" limited warranty whereas Craftsman is only a year. That's a consideration as well.

i have the craftsman, got it for 45$ two years ago, it was on sale at lowes.
it is currently on sale for 55$ at Lowes this holiday season 2022.

Thanks for this. I've been debating between the Icon, Craftsman, Husky and this test helps.

Wow, another impressive showing from Husky. Man, that's so awesome that these budget tools can perform so well. Alas, I think I wanted a 3/8" wrench that went as low as 10 ft lbs, but I can't remember why I thought i needed that range! I think it might be just above the 1/4" Husky's ability, and under the Quinn digital adapter's ability? I'll have to double check that, because otherwise I think I'll be adding a second Husky to my collection.

Husky goes on sale pretty often for $50. Hard price to beat. Although the click is a little soft

Would love to see how the precision instruments split beam 3/8 drive 10/50 ft LB torque wrench would measure up to these

I just bought the husky 3/8. I hope it was the right choice. It was $10 less than the craftsman right now. I have a craftsman in 1/2" thats been good so far as well.

On the Gedore, I would expect that the head you installed meets some kind of size spec provided by Gedore, otherwise the distance from the center of the head to the pivot would vary, and that would affect results. It would be interesting to get the Gedore with the head you used calibrated and then retested.

I'd really like to see how much of a difference warming up the torque wrench actually makes.
I don't think I've seen it recommended until recently, and I've never done more than a few clicks at my desired torque to get the feel for it

Good test. I’m pretty sure that Icon tools have batches of defective products they put out for lack of quality control. It would be interesting to see the same brand and ratchet tested from different sources. Maybe order one from Harbor Freight in a month from now.

Tanks, I'll go get the Husky, if it breaks the ole home depot does the walk in walk out exchange pretty well, much better than Crappy tire lol.

I like that the Husky has a locking ring so I don't accidentally change my desired point while using it.

Im a bit late here, but if you look at the german brand manual, the head is much shorter, so you have a longer lever than expected and thusly all of the results would be "under" the desired torque..because you would requires less actual force with the longer handle to achieve the set torque..

Have you done a comparison of 3/8 digital torque wrench yet? I'm looking for one for school .

It is not a "myth" instructions clearly say: AFTER EVERY USE: loosen the Lock Knob, set to the lowest torque setting, then tighten the Lock Knob.

Hi Tools Tested will you be testing the GearWrench 120XP - non-digital torque wrenches like 1/2 and 3/8 or 1/4 versions? GREAT VIDEO!!!
