Presenting another division ➗ trick for division by large numbers, this time we have simplified the long division for all viewers.

This is conceptual trick which will be useful to find out answer with 100% accuracy. For video please click on below link :

I’m on my high school’s math team, and often times I find myself able to do the complex math, but wasting time struggling to do things like long division and multiplication required to solve the problems quickly. This helps a lot, thank you!!

This is a very nice trick. It is usefull at entrance exam's but when giving a board exam; use this trick first and then with the help of the output apply those to the Quotient. You will get the exact value as the calculator if changed the values at the end

this trick even worked for the last problem.
I just took it as 3 digits as said and got the approx value (20.3), and then when doing long division i got the value as 20.244
Hopefully it helps you

I was facing a big problem especially on solving big numbers yet after watching this tutorial video, i found the right answer, thank you so much.

I found this very useful but why is it not accurate with certain numbers?
For example
2160 / 24 = 90

Using this method

2160 / 24 + 76

2200 / 100 = 22

2160 + (76 x 22) = 3832

3832 / 100 = 38.32

Thanks in advance.

Use Butterfly method to find rat. answer

As there are 3 digits in 300, so will there be 3 zeros: the 3s will continue, as is what happens when dividing 1 (a whole, unity) by 3.
(1/20)+(1/300)+(3/1) = (901/300)+(1/20) =
= 18320/6000 = 3.05(333...)
The 0.05 = 1/20, the trailing threes after 3 zeros is 1/3(1)0(2)0(3), i.e. = 1/300
And the integer 3 = 3/1
3/1 + 1/20 + 1/300 = 18320/6000 = 1832/600
Butterfly method is great. Gave a rational number to this.
889/291 = 1832/600 + X
889/291 - 1832/600 = X
(533400 - 533112)/174600
889/291 = 1832/600 + 288/174600

In your answer for 889/291, your approximation (1832/600) was off by + 288/174600. We can use your method continuously for a simple numerical answer to how far off we were, and see how close we are using the Butterfly method, until we eventually get it right to as many numerical digits as we want!

Butterfly method
2:49; it is also useful when you have as much time as you need.

There should be a competition to program a computer with formulas to derive a numerical answer for a question, with iterative processes for as many digits you want, that is understandable & doable by humans, too. The quickest human-proof (fool-proof, can also be "human-proof" for humanly doable) method for getting and computing the answer, with an answer converging quickest to a numerical value of the fraction, will be the winning method. The best method found will teach us a lot, & may even be useful for us as it is human-proof & doable by us.

What if the numerator value is small? As in 22074/42247= 220/430 approx. or maybe 210/420= 1/2 approx. What to multiply with the numerator now?

Sorry, sir didn't understand the usage of this method. I applied to this question but couldn't able to get the approx value.

143/20=== 7.15 approx

For 8111/303, I would divide both top and bottom by 3, which would give me 2703.6666.../101. 101 isn't 100 but it's still easy to work with. I'd also get an exact answer rather than only an approximation.
