NASA’s Artemis mission – which plans to once again return humans to the moon – had originally selected Elon Musk’s SpaceX to build its lunar lander. But now, potential additional funding means the agency is on the hunt for a second lunar lander provider. I speak to WSJ’s Micah Maidenberg about how the new competition could reopen a window for Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin.

Which companies do you think will be involved in the moon landing?

Lie by omission. SpaceX was chosen because it was better than its competitors, not just for price but for technical evaluation, management, and the value it brings. It just ALSO happens that SpaceX bid cost 1/2 to 1/3 the price of its competitor making it not only cheaper, but also better.

Bezos Blue Origin being able to afford to reduce his bid by 2 billion dollars just shows how ridiculously overpriced his original bid was in the first place!

Not a fan of the whole interplanetary species thing. From what I have noticed the average person can't handle such a feat. So at the moment it is just a way to making money.

We can't handle earth so how will we terra form Mars or the Moon
