First thing you need to do is to map out your village keeping land fertility in mind. Gets super inconvenient super fast once you realize you've built up your most fertile lands and water veins with suburbs. You can map out desired agriculture plots with roads.

While playing myself, I realized that if you have an iron deposit on your land, start mining it by year 2. Once you have a good amount of iron ore, use it to build iron slabs, then into tools. Once you have tools, use them to build garden plots in each of the houses. You can generate lots of food this way. Add this to meat hunted and bread baked, food will not become a worry.

0:17 I think I've completed the demo. Had every building built, paid the kings tax 3 years in a row, and the only next town level was either 99 or 999 homes. Never saw a use for stone. I don't think it's implemented yet.

Love that 2 of my favorite games of all time (Banished and Total War) are getting a beautiful mashup. Can’t wait to see what they’re able to get in for the full release

actually what you should do first is look at the farmlands and the fertility

If I am not wrong. The money you get from the Trading post is Silver or Regional Wealth and not the Money the King wants. There are 2 Currencies. For the quest, you need a Tax Collector and for that, you need to build a Manorhouse. But still a good video^^

Predicting this will easily be a Game of the Year front-runner candidate whenever it releases. I have played the demo quite a bit and the systems are so satisfying, easy to pick up, and relatively intuitive yet detailed for this genre. Often games in this genre have a difficult and steep learning curve, for me at least. I love the concept, but often fizzle out if I feel I haven't gotten a decent grasp on things after several hours. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy Manor Lords is to pick up and get into, yet somehow without sacrificing detail. I think Manor Lords is so well done, so satisfying, decently challenging, and is one of those games where it is all-too-easy to accidently sink an entire evening AND morning into if you are not careful. And that's just the demo. I cannot begin to imagine the depth and breadth of the full release. Top of my Steam wishlist.

This is what gamers need, I whole heartedly support this and will/would love to donate to them for their hardwork. This type of passion needs to be rewarded undoubtedly.

Mid game my loggers quit working. They were just chilling and procrastinating. They we all froze to death during the winter

pro tip, rush/focus on tool building chain, build tiny farms extension on the house property = watch your food spike to thousands.

You need to build a bailey and establish a TAX COLLECTOR to pay the King. Building Trading post will only increase your Regional Wealth

AH, you use your mousewheel to curve roads more/less. That makes sense. I was placing them then continuing for 2nd point and adding curve that way. Thought was shitty way of doing it haha. I had a dope ass town with like 70-80 people. But... was time for bed. Once you grow some wheat, farm turns it to grain, windmill turns to flour, and baker makes bread you're set. I mean, just 2 small ass fields can give you 1000 plus grains. Hella lot of bread. Entire town is basically needed to transport that shit though. So all other jobs stuff. Really loving the game. Has tons of bugs though but duh
