Any thoughts on tauri vs other ElectronJs replacements, like neutralinojs v2 ?

Since it's rather new, I understand documentation isn't as good as electron.. but can tauri create/debug apps that access hardware (like a usb/serial port)?

"Better" is clearly subjective. Is it better to write your application in 2 programming languages or one that you know really well? Is it better to share code between your back- and frontend or is it better to write similar functionality in 2 places? To me, while this is an alternative to Electron, it's not necessarily better depending on your needs. An all-JavaScript application is always going to be superior to a half-Rust half-JS one from an ease-of-development standpoint. It's also why NodeMCU exists in the IoT world.
