I have lived in China going on ten years. The comment about child workers is a myth. Children cannot work until 18 years old. However there are many Asian countries that do have child workers. But this law is strictly enforced in China.

I've been there, it was practically deserted, and a lot of the inside area was blocked off.

It's probably a great place for walking as exercize. The indoor beach seems a bit decadent and silly. Still, It looks airy and inviting.

There is already an oversupply of Malls in the world especially in China where ghost cities with empty buildings are numerous. Facing against the headwind of e-commerce where no shopping spaces are required, how will these buildings be filled if there are ample empty malls with no tenants and apartments without residents all across China? In addition to the old time state owned ghost factories, these ghost buildings are the major contributors to the non-performing bank loans in China and divide the economy into a highly inefficient state-owned portion (50%) and a free market (50%). With limited efforts to unwind the precarious financial condition by the Chinese central banks, the frozen assets from the state-owned business will further degrade the overall economic performance.

Ive seen zaha's plans for a structure in belgrade, I don't like it. I think traditional architecture is not only more aesthetically pleasing, but also show some identity with the opposed to these structures that could be anywhere in the world.
