Niiiice! The Stand is my favourite so far but I’ve got Salem’s Lot and IT coming up so I’m excited to read them both since they both seem to be highly ranked by a lot of people.

I've been contemplating diving into the KING. It would appear Dark Tower is more to my tastes but I want a standalone. I think you have sold me on Salem's Lot. Excellent video man.

Same with me for The Shining. I LOVED it when younger but it didn't hit the same when reading it recently.

Interesting ranking! I'd never heard of Needful Things, what makes it your favourite?
Also really want to get back to Dark Tower, but I have Wizard and Glass up next and I just can't find the motivation to pick it up, lol.

FINALLY someone who has Cujo in their bottom of the barrel just like me. I disliked that book so much ugh. Hated all the characters, hated all the side story, dog didn’t scare me, yeah just didn’t work at all. Felt it would’ve been much better as novella too! Then you put pet sematary in bottom five too and I died lol that’s one of my favs.

Nice list! Your top 5 are all amongst my favorites aside from the lot, that for me is good not great. I also did not care too much for dead zone. I’ve read almost all his books, I’ve noticed A LOT of his books are very similar kinda like the connection between dead zone and 11/22/63 you mention.

The Institute is probably one of my favorite modern King books, not sure how I'd personally rank a lot of the others! The Dark Tower series, especially The Gunslinger, would probably have to be top tier too for the amount it inspired me. Without that book I would never have written my own weird west. Needful Things too is pretty perfect to me, and I have to include both The Shining and Dr Sleep.

I am the weirdo who thinks The Gunslinger was the best. I really like Carrie as well. I'm with you that I didn't think Wizard and glass was the best of The Dark Tower do you have a review up on it I'd like to know what you didn't like about it
