How have I been a Jack Stauber fan for 7 years and never heard this song from my favourite album of his

A couple years back, my buddy, who I had known since I was born died. It was horribly sudden. A heart attack, and he had been in and out of mental hospitals, and he had been in one as this happened. Last time I spoke to him was on the phone, and the last words I ever said to him was "I'll see you later." A week after he had died I kept thinking about this song. So finally after months of not listening to Stauber I listened to this one again. And I wept.

jack stauber was my favorite artist pre-october-2019 (when i discovered lemon demon). my music taste has shifted slightly from jack. i'm so mad that i'm only discovering this now... literally how did i never see/ hear this. i would've been ESTATIC hearing this during that era of my life. such a beautiful song!!!
