Last year I was riding my motorcycle heading into Georgetown California when a mountain lion ran across the road directly in front of me. It was a very cool sight to see.

In another video they had the jaguar weigh 80 pounds which is horrible research. Even the weight they used in this video seems off about the jaguar. It’s definitely heavier than the mountain lion.

Weight of the jaguar is highly underrated. 96Kg. You can't be serious, maybe the North American subspecies but the south American subspecies especially that in the pantanal region weight much heavier reaching even 120 Kg or 130 kg

These are my two favorite cats so this comparison was very interesting. The jaguar is number one and the cougar is number two. Yes, the jaguar is a bad ass animal and would usually beat the cougar. I love them both and am glad to see there have been a small number of jaguars make their way back into the US through Arizona. We live around cougars but they are very rarely seen. Great video.

Panthera cat species that are built for strength and power are so much more muscular than the puma, in comparison. You notice this even in a leopards muscle mass. Pumas are actually a lineage of bobcats, lynx, and more related to domestic house cat than panthera like tigers, lions, etc. also in some areas jaguars can get 300 to 350lbs like in the Panal area.
