Cheetah Vs Leopard

Adult female cheetah and cub on a kill were found themselves invaded by a young unexperienced leopard. The fight took more than 2 hours as the mother kept running between serving the life of the cub and defending the kill she just made,at the end the cheetah was victorious and leopard ran away from a ferocious, determined cheetah.Something quite rare to see in the wild.....

A cheetah chasing off a leopard is something I never thought I’d see. So used to seeing cheetahs run or get killed I thought they couldn’t hold their own. Great video.

The mother Cheetah showed extreme confidence, it was a huge risk on her side but her fury above protecting her young cubs was clearly enough to send this very young and by the looks of its size a female Leopard well on its way. The Leopard also showed signs of submission

I hadn't yet read the video description when I saw the footage, but I was already thinking "there's no way that is anything other than a mother cheetah trying to protect her cubs from the leopard" because there's no doubt what would happen if the leopard actually stood its ground to fight. Supremely brave mothering!

That looks like a juvenile leopard, but the acceleration on the Cheetah is unreal. Holy smokes the speed difference is amazing.

At 0:10 one can clearly see that the cheetah had slowed down but then it suddenly accelerates and well, catches the leopard. Damn that's fast.
