Israel raids Al Jazeera offices and shuts down channel | LBC analysis

Israel is closing local offices of Qatar's Al Jazeera satellite news network, escalating a long-running feud between the broadcaster and Mr Netanyahu's hard-line government.

The order, which included confiscating broadcast equipment, preventing the broadcast of the channel's reports and blocking its websites, is believed to be the first time Israel has ever shut a foreign news outlet.

02:27 Aidan White, from the Ethical Journalism Network, says the decision is not justified.

06:56 Richard Pater, Director of BICOM, says the organisation has been shut down because it's a threat to Israeli national security.
