Sadako Rising is the next Chapter in Dead by Daylight. The Killer is Sadako, The Onryō. With immense powers and a fearsome temper, Sadako was left to perish in a watery grave. Her violent wrath manifested into a cursed videotape, condemning its viewers to a chilling fate. After losing his father to Sadako’s fury, new Survivor Yoichi Asakawa grew up to become a respected marine biologist. Yet he remained haunted by his past, ready to risk everything for answers – no matter how dark the waters.

The Sadako Rising Chapter is available now in Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As Survivors your goal is to work together to evade, escape, and most importantly – stay alive.

For anyone wondering: the voice says しょうもんばかりしているとぼうこんがくるぞ (shoumon bakari shiteiruto boukon ga kuruzo) which means something like "if you play in the water too long, a spirit will come" (not an exact translation but kind of close)

This is the last IP I expected to see in DBD, so cool to see that experimental properties are making their way in

I’ve never been this excited for a DBD chapter before. This update is like a love letter to the Ringu franchise, and I love how it stays true to the original 💌 😍 👏

Despite all the things people say against her: I think the whole idea of her being in the best horror game ever fits to me perfectly. You see comments like "OMG THIS IS THE BEST", "BHVR PLS NERF KILLER" or "DUDE WE ALREADY HAVE FREDDY DEMOGORGON". You see, there is only certain amount of killers out there and everytime they have to think about the "how". I know that the hype is real everytime but you have to understand that not every killer will be a super well-known high tier favorite killer, and therefore he has to be powerful. No. The variety is important and we will, in fact, get a much more hype chapter at the anniversary.
