Nice. When these first came out i thought they were amazing, some of the sparkies were not keen on them. Now al of them use them!

. ***Thank you for telling me the 221 is simply a newer generation to the 222 !!!*** I just spent three damn hours watching all kinds of videos and searching Google trying to figure that out. I just wanna' $&^*@@#....I get so angry about piss-poor instructions. I was totally ready to make some changes, had all my tools and supplies out and went to put on some YouTube music and saw a video for the 222 and got confused by the 222, then was lost.
Even Wago says nothing about this as far as I can tell ; the two numbers seem like different models for different applications and I did not want to F up any electrical or do work and have to repeat it.
Christ, you'd think the Germans, in how they do everything so orderly and to a T would not have overlooked explaining that very clearly so as to not cause any usage or sales friction for customers from any confusion between the two.

I’ve just started using Wago 221’s for around the house and they are brilliant, how come I see a lot of YouTube electricians using the 222 still ? As far as I can tell the 221 is better in every way including having a larger current rating.

I'd like to give the wago's a try. I've seen so many people bring up how good they are but never got around to picking up a handful to test them out.

Quick and easy but not as strong a connection. I know they will take some serious amps but for solid wire wing nuts by Ideal are better or stronger. 270 lb pull off force.

Been using the 222 for donkeys now. I
always get them on a slightly better deal from the trade counter. The Wiska fittings are pretty much the same as the 222's at a cheaper price. Either way they're all a God send. German and Swiss engineering 👍🏻 from me Danny. What core bits do you use. I reckon I've got a few cores left in my wickes core. Screwfix are doing an Erbauer set for only 60 odd squids. I might buy them? Or for a few quid extra a marrcist set. They're supposed to be a reputable brand.

can someone explain to me what you use the 3-5 lever ones for? Like is the 4 lever one for 1 source (input) to 3 outputs? Or is it for 2 different inputs to 2 different outputs? I have not seen a diagram of how they work and would love to understand.

I just need to use them for light switches and basement lights but would love to properly understand.

Do the 221 fit in the same no-maintenance box designed for the original 222?

Genuine wagos are ok but fakes like the ones John ward tested might seem ok but become brittle when cold. Levers snap off. Excellent videos thanks.

How come the 222 have 24 amp printed on them for 2.5 cable and 32amp for 4mm cable. If using 2.5 cable surely it would be still 32 amp not 24 amp?

Also the new 221 only have 32 amp printed on them so are these higher rated for 2.5 cable then?

Wago are king!
Can you leave them in the backbox or do you need to put them in the wago box?

If I were to use the wago 222 on a light fitting can they be pushed above the ceiling or do they have to go in the wago junction box . Cheers
