Any American who would vote for this man needs to know that the minute he doesn't find them useful to him, with giving him money or there vote, he'll go after them as well.

"His net worth is far greater than what is reflected in his financial statements" - slam dunk for fraud then, he just admitted his financial statements are lies.

I've been very naive, like most Americans. In my 7 decades of life, I've always thought that politics had an element of logic and factual analysis that guided the decisions of American voters. I now see this is rarely the case. Autocracy looms as a result of this.

Why would accountants inflate Trump's assets without him being aware of it? What would be their motive?

In what other instance could a defendant yell and point at the judge *while* on the stand and not be dragged out of court?

What a SHOCK! There is no defense for running a business with a duplicate set of books! No amount of blather is going to sell anyone on the fact that the I claimed had 2 values depending on the audience was a legal and reasonable action. He was "off the rails" because he has no case, no defense and no hope of avoiding conviction PERIOD.

The judge in this trial reminds me of the one in the Darrell Brooks trial, Jennifer Dorow, who bent over backwards to accommodate Brooks' egregious behaviour just so he could not claim a mistrial.
Be patient, he knows what he's doing, he's just letting Trump dig his own grave.

I love how DJT literally admits to property tax fraud each time he states his properties are worth much more than what's in the books.

That’s an excellent point about the lack of a jury. I was wondering why the judge was letting him get away with that because in trials I’ve participated in, the judge immediately would shut down someone rambling off topic and making speeches rather than answering the question. It will be fun to watch what happens in jury trials should Trump ever take the stand. My guess is his lawyers will strongly discourage him and he probably won’t. But if he does unless he has biased judge like Cannon, the judge will shut him down and hit him with contempt of court if he can’t control himself.
