I toured her farm a few years back and loved it, so wanted to give you the three-year update on her progress at the farm. You'll learn about seed production, seed starting, growing tips, trellising, soil improvement, and some old classic seed cleaning machines she uses to grow and process high-quality seeds for your garden.

Love supporting SDSC not only because they're a local small business but for me also being in SD I know the seeds will work great for my growing zone.

Cat's name is Black Beauty, named after the Eggplant. Also, I tried San Diego Seeds for the first time this year (inland northern california with hot summers) and everything from here thrived. Right now, the radishes I got from there (golden and watermelon) are doing better with our swinging weather (from high 80s to now low 30s at night) than any of the other radish seeds I planted. Thanks Epic Gardening for tlling us about this company and to San Diego Seed Company for the awesome seeds for us southern gardeners!

I have placed 5-6 orders from them this year and love everything I've planted. Just placed another today. My basil plants from their seeds are HUGE and beautiful, still in mid November! So cool to see the tour! Thanks for sharing!

This is funny, I just came across your company, watching this show about 10 minutes ago. Great site San Diego Seed Company, and Epic Gardening has been inspiring for me since I have seen your show on you tube. We live down here in Ft Lauderdale Florida, and today, actually one hour ago I have planted my first seed -- Everglades Tomatoes, and have 9 more buckets that I have prepped to plant lettuces, beets, herbs -- very energetic in looking forward to growing vegetables, being a native New Yorker this is really a unique experience.

I’ve been watching your channels for a while and have only recently discovered that where I live in Australia translates to US zones 9 & 10. So much of what you do in San Diego can be transplanted to my gardening here. Knowing what seeds and plant types work for you has been really helpful for me.. thank you

Not only you guys have great energy, I would like to compliment you by the fact that I don’t get motion sick when watching your videos! Thanks for the filming quality, usually I can’t even see two minutes of “go pro style” videos. Congrats! Also your book just arrived and I’m SO FREAKING happy here at home, reading it like crazy 😜

Yeah, my mulch doesn’t really work over there in such hot climates. I use moss. Moss doesn’t like heat and sun. But this year I found out that having moss as mulch kinda creates a symbiotic relationship with the other plants. The moss keeps the soil dry and cool, making it better suitable for the plants, the plants cast shadow over the moss, making the moss healthier. Moss grows way faster when planted with other plants, instead of how I originally grew it. (In open trays)

I'm pumped to hear them doing work with brassicas here in San Diego. We've given up on trying to grow broccoli or cauliflower and since we already buy 99% of our seed from SD Seed Company, I'm excited to hear we'll be able to give them another try at some point in the future.
