Police Officers Rescue Mother and Child From Flood Waters

(warning: distressing images) Police officers had to wade into floodwaters on September 11 to rescue a family from flash flooding in San Bernardino, CA.

Bodycam footage shows the officers carrying a young child to safety and rescuing a woman who was being swept away in the water.

According to the National Weather Service, flash flooding is the top killer of all storm-related incidents, as people fail to recognize the power of rushing waters, even when shallow. No deaths were reported from this incident.
