Enforcer has been my favorite go to guards, increased range detection with the plating. They are great as distractions for hidden traps!

Guards are one of the best permanent ammo traps too. Put them on a ramp that they can't leave, and make a pool of corrosives that's at least 2-3 blocks deep to prevent raiders retrieving their ammo.

I've been trying to do a trap I've seen where you drop guards that explode on death through lava cubes but it doesn't work. The second they pass through the cube it boots me from the guard patrol and doesn't save the route. I don't get how anyone else was doing this before.

I wish more builders would think about paths and incorporate second wave patrols not just rushing the genmat. Guards (and kinda sentinels) are the only way builders have of injecting a random element into any room, a pair of warboys wandering the halls of a multi path outpost will fuck with the memory game raiders are playing

For the canoneer i had them sucessfully bounce shots off of walls to hit raiders behind corner. If u flip ramps horizontal u can maker diagonal halways

Hornets are fine to put on the ground if you create a patrol path that takes him up in the air and then guards

The hornets do they have to be on a block can they not just be in mid air when u place them
