I think there is a small gap between 0.5 open and 1 closed .I think 0.5 open is a little bigger than 1 closed ..so if you are fading after 0.5 open you need to continue with 1 guard slightly open

So when the guard is open it adds .5 to whatever guard you have on the clippers? Does that mean I can fade at .0 then open the blade it to .5 and fade that way as well?
