WHAT IS DATA ANALYTICS? TOLD BY A DATA ANALYST // There are a lot of terms that get thrown around when it comes to data. Some of them have established meanings and others are so new that we’re all still trying to agree what they mean.

What is data analytics?
How does it relate to all these other terms?

I’m an experienced data analyst and today I’m answering the question “what is data analytics?”

Data analytics has exploded in the past decade thanks to a surge in the amount of data being generated. Thanks to the boom in technology and our increasing connectedness, we’re generating - and consuming - massive amounts of data.

Thank you. I'm looking for a career change and I *love* crunching numbers. As a kid, I used to do that with batting averages, hits, home runs, etc. of my favorite baseball players. Numbers and math don't intimidate me. I even see the math in music and music theory (I've been playing guitar for over 33 years now)

Hi Jen I have recently subscribed to your channel as I plan to become a Data analyst. I would appreciate your input on the below.
I currently hold a Masters's Degree in Supply chain management but have not worked in this space. I have worked in the Project management and Operations management space with shipping companies.
