- Help & protect against fraud
- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
- Boost customer acquisition & retention
- Increase supply chain efficiency

Day to day
- manage delivery of user satisfaction surveys & report on results using data visualization software
- Work with business line owners to develop requirements, define success metrics, manage & execute a analytical projects, & evaluate results
- Monitor practices, processes, & systems to identify opportunities for improvement
- Translate important questions into concrete analytical tasks
- Gather new data to answer client questions, collating & organizing data from multiple sources
- Design, build, tear & maintain backend code
- Establish data processes, define data quality criteria, & implement data quality processes
- Work as part of a team to evaluate & analyze key data that will be used to shape future business strategies

5 main steps
- Define the questions you want to answer
- Why you’re conducting this analysis & what questions & answers you need to find
- Then define what data you need & where it will come from
- Collect data
- Primary sources or internal data like CRM software or email marketing tools
- I.e. Google trends or international orgs like WHO
- Clean the data
- Data may include duplicates, anomalies, & missing data
- Can be manual & arduous but imperative
- Analyze the data
- Regression analysis, cluster analysis, time series analysis, etc.
- Interpret & share results
- Present findings in a way that others can understand & collaborate with key stakeholders
