NATO rejects no-fly zone; Ukraine slams ‘greenlight for bombs’

Despite desperate appeals from Ukraine, NATO's Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says the alliance cannot impose a no-fly zone, without getting directly involved in the conflict. Ukraine's president has condemned the move, saying that NATO knows strikes and casualties are inevitable.

It's odd. Almost as if the members of the counsel have no idea that the exact same thing is going on in Yemen today. In fact, has been going on for over the last 7 years. Yet it would seem that it is only happening in Ukraine. The same in Syria or Palestine. Everybody wants to stand with Ukraine (not that there is a thing in the world wrong with that) yet simultaneously oblivious to Yemen, Syria, Palestine and other places across our globe suffering the exact same offensives. The only difference theirs have all been going on much longer than a week.

I am living on the island of Gotland situated only 300:km from Kaliningrad. The undoubtedly ongoing buildup of the military resources in Kaliningrad is absolutely scaring not the least as Russia has one of their largest nuclear armament in Kaliningrad. The threat is underlined by the fact that Russian bomb and attack planes, starting from Kaliningrad, now are intruding on our airspace.
