There is no one size fits all approach…

While some may benefit from a lower-carb diet, others may find that it is detrimental to their health.

What we need to look at is what happens to the body when we go low carb so we can understand if it’s the right choice for us.

So on today’s #CabralConcept 2651 let’s go over if low-carb diets cause energy debt and burnout and how it can impact our health.

Enjoy!

NEW HERE?
Hi, I’m Stephen Cabral, Board Certified Doctor of Naturopathy and Integrative Health Practitioner.

For years I struggled with trying to figure out how to overcome multiple life-alternating illnesses such as auto-immune, Addisons, type 2 diabetes, digestive, allergies, insomnia, and debilitating fatigue.

Then I discovered a mentor who taught me how to combine and integrate multiple health practices into one. From there I tested these theories by traveling all around the world and discovering how to finally help people rebalance their bodies and live the life they always wanted.

I’m happy to say that after being shown the way and now creating my own proven protocols based on combining the best of ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with state-of-the-art Functional Medicine my team and I have completed over 250,000 appointments helping people just like you and I.

If you’re interested in getting well, losing weight, or living longer stronger, I look forward to helping you to accomplish those goals. Be well and please always reach out if you have any questions or if my team and I can be of service!

Stephen I love you are not susceptible for trends, I am a Vata type and at this point it all makes sense as to why I feel exhausted on keto.

What do you do if you have diabetes and carbs spike insulin?

I'm currently in the first week of a 21 day detox before doing the CBO protocol. Already have a sluggish
metabolism. I'm definitely feeling nervousness and a bit shaky at times. I don't think I'm having detox
symptoms... Maybe not enough carbs or protein. Any thoughts, Doc?

I'm very impressed with your knowledge. I'm amateur bike rider and racer as well I hit the GYM 2-3 times a week. I have not been eating high carb diet, recently started experiencing weakness and fatigue. My testosterone went down to 168 and free to 28. Got my 24 hour cortisol checked and it came up 130 with daily limit of 50. It looks like what you described here have been happening with me. What is your opinion? Thank you

All true. My T4 level went up greatly on a keto/carnivore diet. I also felt stressed, got insomnia, had hair loss, felt fatigued, and got acid reflux and indigestion, among other unpleasant symptoms. And my cholesterol and triglycerides went sky high. Horrid diet!! I'm now mostly on a whole plant food based diet with just a few animal products and starting to feel better.

Great video! I'm not a fan of a Low Carb Diet! I think a balanced diet is the way to go. Small portion of brown rice with boiled broccoli, carrots, potatoes and then a pan fried steak to accompany it. So much nutrition in one meal. Exercise is the key to staying slim; weight training is superior. Thanks for sharing it with us Dr. Cabral! 👋
