Denver motel owner helps feed, house migrants

Some 40,000 migrants seeking asylum have arrived in Denver over the last year. One motel owner is doing what she can to help feed and house them as they look for work and a new home. Omar Villafranca has the story.

The 72 yr old woman is obviously grieving intensely from the loss of her husband and son. She seems desperate for purpose and spending $300, 000 of her own money on illegals doesn't seem wise. Seems like the Venezuelans are doing what Venezuelans do best and that is, taking handouts. I hope I'm wrong and that some day the Venezuelans will take care of her when she is old and broke. I am not holding out hope.

Coming from Germany, I remember fondly our visits to the USA, back in the 1980s. Staying at family run motels along the way. So there are not only homeless staying at motels, but refugees also. I see a very big problem looming, when these problems will not be adressed.
I will not put one foot into your country again, as long as people are treated like this. Help them PROPERLY.
