1. VPN does not automatically encrypt traffic
2. Traffic is only as secure as the specific VPN provider makes it
3. HTTPS traffic can’t be viewed by anybody other than those with access to the private key (usually the site and it’s server administration employees) and yourself, check the SSL chain

You've got to be kidding me thinking sending all your Internet traffic through a Microsoft VPN is a good idea... You'd literally be routing all of your web browsing and activity through a Microsoft server. That means they can see anything that can be seen, and even store to decrypt later.
