It would be incredibly fascinating. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if it was keeping an eye on the solar system, perhaps waiting and/or observing the solar system including earth. There could be countless reasons for this. To cite some examples, it could be a “mothership” for more local probes, a “representative” from a highly advanced civilization watching us from a “zoo hypothesis” perspective, etc.
