This is the first time I've ever heard Cox say - i don't know. I already respected him now he lands this humility on us.

He is so clear in his explanations and educates politely. No bold statements as is the trademark of NDT

This is the only guy who could tell you, you have cancer and you'd not feel bad about it.

Any well reputed scientist that can say "I don't know" on a live program listened to by millions is the kind of scientist I'll believe until something or someone can prove to me why I shouldn't.

There's a particular strength in being able to admit ignorance or saying "I don't know" that we as a society has traditionally mislabeled as a weakness. This guy has the mental fortitude, emotional intelligence, and raw mental acuity to just say it. Yet, he seems to process what was just said, provide information that may support the theory, and appear very curious about that theory without any definitive leaning.

Brians way of speaking about these topics is almost addictive.

A sign of TRUE INTELLIGENCE, and a red flag for those who cannot…
To say I don’t know. Because arrogance always needs to feel righteous.

Let's put it this way: the same math that predicted Neptune, predicts a large object out there. Whether it's a failed star or a small black hole, who knows.

I could listen to Brian talk all day about subjects I know nothing about and it would still be great.

What you are referring too is another Avi Loeb paper on the Sun potentially had a smaller star next to it that created, not the Kuiper Belt, but the Ort Cloud. The Ort Cloud is half from the Sun to Alfa Centari, and is not on a plane disc, but in all directions from us so it took one hell of an explosion to get the cosmic dust, and debris out there

It would've been funny is you had cut it at "I don't know!"

I can hear our solar system getting mad about being called binary. Now it’s probably identifying as non-binary. 🤣
