How to Grow Blueberries in Containers | Growing a Blueberry Bush Easily!

Learn how to grow blueberries in containers or pots. The blueberry is a relatively easy plant to cultivate, although often people struggle to grow them successfully. Growing your own organic blueberry bush in a container is a simple, effective way to cultivate these great little plants (and reap some tasty berries!). This container method is particularly practical as it makes it easier to control the acidity of the soil and drainage – both key elements as blueberries require good drainage and an acidic soil to thrive.

In the video I touch on an interesting natural, organic fertilizer high in potassium that can be used to get better yields from your blueberry bush! I also share some general tips that can make growing blueberries a breeze!

Interestingly, blueberries are considered one of nature's superfoods as they contain antioxidants. Recent studies associate the regular, moderate intake of blueberries and/or anthocyanins with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, death, and type 2 diabetes, and with improved weight maintenance and neuroprotection.

Bought a dead blueberry bush from walmart, literally on its last leg, no leaves, barely and leaf nodes, just in general not doing to hot for a plant. 3 days later, its starting to get more and more leaves everyday. Guess im a blueberry bush father now. This video was helpful ♡

Top Hat blueberries are no joke! Self pollinating meant for container growth. Bought one last fall, re-potted it, this year it bloomed tremendously. Unfortunately it got rust and I stripped it of berries and plenty of leaves. It not only recovered like a champ, it started producing again in SEPTEMBER! Beautiful insanity :D

I love that you used the banana peel powder. I do the same thing in my super soils and compost piles Great for worm food also.
Thank you.

Enjoyed your video. It was very informative. A few years back I had a hedge of Southern highbush blueberries. I had different varieties that gave me fruit for a longer during than if I would of planted just one variety. I was not sure exactly where my property line was. I decided to move them out of respect for my neighbor. I was not sure if I planted on his side. They did not make it after I transplanted them. They use to produce big fat juicy blueberries. Live and learn

EXCELLENT WONDERFUL CAPTURING PRESENTATION THROUGHOUT THE LENGTH OF THE VIDEO.
Yes of course really really impressed and liked the technique of filling potting mix around the plant pot to make a room of its size and then pot the plant.
Thanks a lot for sharing all aspects regarding blue berry plant growing. Mist important the maintenance of an acidic soil and use of sulphur.
