It IS indeed a CG hand, I was working as a camera runner for Double Negative VFX when this movie came out, driving back and forth from Pinewood to our offices on Shaftesbury Avenue delivering and maintaining digi-double capture rigs. No-one noticed the gloved Daniel Craig during this sequence and it was never re-shot. They only realised the blunder once they got into post production. Andrew Whitehurst was the VFX Supe on this, I don't know whether it was him who fixed it, but he would know the truth of just how much of a nightmare it would have been to fix it.

That entire James Bond section about the glove is the sort of stuff that has kept me coming back to this channel since the first VFX Artists React. SO entertaining.

One other possible theory... maybe the gloveless shots were simply reshoots.

Here's my guess for the "CGI Hand" thing: They shot it once with the gloves; they realized "Wait, he can't be wearing those gloves because of his gun."; they RESHOT the scene, but FORGOT to reshoot the part where he's holding they other guy's hand.

You guys should breakdown the Dr. Robotnik dance in Sonic 3, the cloning and comp in that sequence is actually mind blowing

The Expanse has a BUNCHHHH of incredible VFX shots you guys haven't covered. From space battles, to the guy going from 80000kmph to 0, the whole one shot of Amos arriving at the moon, it's just FULL of incredible VFX

Please do a breakdown of the moving DVD menus of the original Star Wars Trilogy, where they show familiar scenes from different perspectives, and they loop.

Planetary Destruction: There are so many movies that explore what planetary destruction looks like from lasers to nukes to asteroids. It would be super cool to delve into all the different ways it's been portrayed throughout cinema history. Superman 1978, A New Hope 1977, Armageddon 1998, Knowing 2009, Man of Steel 2013, Greenland 2020, Don't Look Up 2021 and so many more.

I wouldn't advertise better help. They have recently been audited and have been forced to pay millions for using and selling "confidential" customer data to advertisers.

They are not to be trusted. Also their employed psychologists they admit that they don't employ directly only refeer to, are NOT vetted. They did not check credentials.

I worked on Skyfall at Dneg and can confirm that we had to replace Daniel Craig’s gloved hand with a CG hand during that Shanghai sequence.

With that James Bond clip, they could have just re-shot the explainer scene and changed the dialog to "It's encoded to an RFID chip in your palm, only you can fire it."
