Είναι δυνατό κάποιος να τα έχει ότι θα μπορούσε να επιθυμεί φαινομενικά αλλά στην πράξη να έχει χάσει τον εαυτό του και να αδικεί αυτούς που έχει γύρω του; Ο Κωνσταντίνος Κωνσταντίνου με αυτές τις σκέψεις στο μυαλό επέλεξε να αφήσει πίσω δουλειά του και την Κύπρο και να πάει σαν εθελοντής στη Λέσβο, ξένος ανάμεσα σε ξένους. Οι συγκλονιστικές καταστάσεις που έζησε τον έκαναν να σκεφτεί, και να συνειδητοποιήσει ότι ο όρος «ξένος» υπάρχει μόνο μέσα στο μυαλό μας. Το πραγματικό νόημα της ζωής είναι να είμαστε αληθινοί απέναντι σε όλους τους συνανθρώπους μας.

Konstantinos Konstantinou is 36 years old and lives in Cyprus. For the last 15 years he works as a journalist and he is now the chief editor of Alpha channel of Cyprus. Highlighting subjects centered on “man” always made him feel “full” professionally. The turning point of his life though was the decision to travel to Lesvos as a volunteer during the period of the large refugee flows from Turkey, in an effort both to help in every way he could and also to find his lost true self. Through that journey he reconsidered many things he believed regarding what is truly important in life. His initial goal was to go to Lesvos as a simple person and not as a journalist. The situation he was confronted with however, did not allow him to refuse his nature. He shared it through a documentary that he filmed titled “Waves of Hope”. He personally considers it to be a tribute to the people he met and in it's creation he devoted his soul.
