Today I canned up the marinara sauce for the shelf, I portioned out the bolognese into freezer bags (1.2kg per meal) I made an Edna's Lemon Curd tea cake which was delicious!

I also made my sourdough hamburger buns for dinner tomorrow night.

What else, oh we had beef and oyster stir fry noodles for dinner!

Looks like the last minute or so of the video failed! I'm not sure why!

I came across Our Small Footprint only a couple of months ago so, I am still going back and binging the older videos. I am amazed at the vast amount of cooking knowledge I am learning from you! I am a GOOD bit older than you and only know a fraction of what you know. Thanks for teaching an Alabama girl (yeah, even when we are in our fifties we southerners are still cald girl) so much more than I ever knew!

the firewood section of the video.gave me fond memories of growing up on my parents farm. I have spent many hours collecting firewood with my parents and siblings. It was a family activity that brought us closer as a family. No wood no way to keep warm. Darryl is a pro at the chainsaw. You should look at getting a tractor and the attachments at the back like a hoe (for the garden), slasher (good to do fire breaks around the farm) and you can put a trailer on the back for collecting firewood. Be easier than a wheelbarrow.

I love how relaxing your videos are. ❤️

I just learned to use the chainsaw to cut up our firewood, it takes a bit of getting used to!

You are such an inspiration for me. I a cheap cut of beef, mushrooms, onion and broccoli to use up in a Stir fry.
I tried velveting the beef...omg so good! I'll be doing this many more times!

I envy your having the property with the available trees…. We have to purchase our wood and at $225 U.S. a cord right now it’s not cheap. We go through 5 or 6 cords a Season depending on temps. We have an oil heat option but I just enjoy wood heat so much and love having a warm cozy fire burning each and every day. Our wood stove is kind of the heartbeat of our home in the cooler months. I also use it to cook on here and there and find such comfort in knowing when (not if) the power goes out the house will be warm. 😊 So no matter what I guess it’s worth it to me. Until your videos I’d never heard of a Thermomix. Looks to be a very useful gadget.

Hey Nyssa, I made Edna's lemon cake this week too. I always double it, but we love the lemony taste. Next thing you need is another bowl/ blade/ lid set. I find having two so damn useful, I reckon even more so for you with your set up. Great video, loved it as usual x x

If you are interested in purchasing or finding out more about a Thermomix, please drop me a line, I am hoping to get my 6 sales in 60 days to help offset the cost of the purchase and I'd love everyone to have one lol, because I adore mine so much.

2 of my kids love the lemon tea cake but it’s definitely more like a slice than a cake.
