I respect everyone's opinion. IMO Light is better character and is soo real i already met many Geniuses in my life and i found most of them arrogant. L is also Arrogant, L can sacrifice anyone to solve kira case.

Honestly, they're both phenomenal shows. It's very hard to choose. I guess I prefer Code Geass a little more, but I also love Death Note.

Everything to Death Note apart from female cast lol 💀 Also Goat Geass’s ending ONLY works if you’re ATTACHED to the Lelouch the character. With Death Note’s ending almost everyone got mixed feelings about it and it was one of a kind. Also I rlly hope you keep posting community posts 🥂

Ugh tough choice. Really depends on which day of the week you're asking me. Death Note imo had the better battles of wits and the more epic soundtracks. Light and L were a very entertaining lead duo. It felt like watching a japanese version of Sherlock Holmes vs Moriarty unfold, but from Moriarty's perspective. Therefore Code Geass had the better overall cast with characters I really liked and rooted for. Lelouch was an awesome anti-hero and Suzaku imo was an awesome deutergonist and foil to him. And the other characters (Kallen, CC, Euphie, Ougi and his gf, Schneizel, Cornelia, Nunnally, the student council, Toudo etc.) were so much better than in Death Note and had interesting dynamics. Plus Lelouch was not just a badass but also very likable and relatable whereas Light was purely entertaining because of how unapologetically evil/reckless he is. I also think plot progression in Code Geass was better and it finishes in a satisfying way. The Death Note anime kinda rushes through the Mello/Near Arc and changes the ending. As someone who prefers the manga's and the live action adaptations (the Netflix one excluded of course) endings by far, I'm not fond of how the Death Note anime ends and imo it doesn't fit Lights character at all.
All in all if I have to give a rating now I would say:
Code Geass 9.5/10
Death Note 8.5/10 thanks to the weaker 2nd half and the ending. If it was the manga I would give Death Note a 9/10 easily.
