Hey Chaps! Would an Exynos S24/S24+ put you off buying it??

NOTE: while an s24+ vs s24+ video is worth making too - THIS is about whether a Snapdragon S24 Ultra is worth it over a Exynos S24+ (in terms of the chips) 👍

It would be fair to have both s24+ models, one europe one and one from the US. The S24 Ultra has better cooling, bigger battery etc.

The thing that happened at 4:08 isn't a concidence. That's exactly the type of experience I had with my Exynos-based S22 Ultra, and it was a constant issue for 7 months of use!
Lack of app optimisation, constant OS stutters, mediocre battery and worse ISP are still a thing, even if the raw performance caught up a bit to the Snapdragon.

It's still a sham to sell a DIFFERENT device under the same name. Exynos is a NO GO.

you should get 200-300$ discount for getting extnos vs snapdragon for the same model

If the exynos versions were sold for less maybe but to be paying prettyuch the same for an inferior product is just not acceptable

I imported my S21 from the US to the UK because I wanted the Snapdragon, it happened to actually be cheaper than the EU/INT version. Can confirm I have had zero problems with signal/ networks 4/5g... etc. have traveled to Mainland Europe, Africa, East Asia, and the Middle east with the device and had no issues there either. Ive not regretted it one bit.

I'm struggling to care about ray tracing on my PC... Surely, no one is bothered about ray tracing on a phone?

The S24+ looks like a better deal than the Ultra being £250 cheaper but having the Exynos chip instead of the Snapdragon makes it much less appealing, particularly in relation to battery life. I wouldn't buy it for that reason as, yet again, we're being short changed here in Europe/UK. 😠

FYI: Premiere rush does NOT work with exynos. It hasnt for a long time

Good video, but sadly there are multiple caveats in your video.

I think your S24+ was not done with the setup process as can be seen when it is chugging. Secondly, you should have directly compared it to an equivalent Snapdragon S24+ because the Ultra has a larger vapour chamber and larger surface area and titanium which conducts heat better. Also, multiple other reviews have shown the Exynos outperforming the Snapdragon in terms of raw performance, battery life and temps. You stating that the Snapdragon is a 3/3 winner in benchmarks looks like it’s a runaway winner but that could well be up to the silicon lottery and a 2-5% difference is not enough to conclusively give away a winner when there are multiple variables other than the chipset affecting the results.

Also Adobe Rush has been known to optimised notoriously. For years it only ran well on iPhones, now Snapdragon as well, so I don’t think that was a fair real world comparison.

You should’ve run the 30 min CPU throttle test as well which would have pushed the cpu to its absolute most to see which one overheats first or throttles performance to give us a better picture of stability side by side.

I think this video could’ve been much more comprehensive if you didn’t rush into making it as soon as possible and took a little more time to research and then test both the phones. I think that would’ve provided a much more realistic and fair comparison between the chipsets.

Currently watching on my S24 plus with exynoss(region limited), and extremely happy with it. Upgraded from my S10 plus which was getting very slow, and had a 30% degraded battery

Can you do a comparison between the s23 snapdragon 8 gen 2 and this exynos 2400? Anyway great video man

The difference in battery life left at the end is quite shocking actually....

Always had problems with Exynos in S6 Edge, S8 and S20, and was finally so pleased with S23 and its optimised Snapdragon. No way I would take a step back to Exynos. I've been quite loyal to Samsung, but Exynos is now a deal breaker.

Loving my Exynos 2400 S24 here in the UK 😊 The Amber yellow colour I went for.

Don't succumb to the mass hysteria regarding Exynos my G's. Everything works perfectly to perfection 😊

I tested & thrown everything on it - sustainability, stability, raw performance, general performance, games, production media apps etc.

All good, everything checks out, top level, Top Tier SOC & it will only get better with optimisation/updates 😊

I also have the 24 Ultra but it will be the secondary phone kept at home mainly for media. I could have bought any phone available with any SOC I wanted etc. yet I purposely picked the standard S24 as my main phone 😊

Compact yet powerful enough for everyday use. Good camera (especially with the Expert Raw app that's available only on the newer Galaxy's) Good level screen, decent battery life, future proof & more.

If both chips were the same, Samsung would have used the Exynos in the Ultra. The fact they didn't tells you all you need to know.

I was really waiting particularly for your video, but I was definitely expecting a direct comparison with S24+ Exynos with equivalent S24+ Snapdragon. S24 Ultra and S24+ are different phones at this point. While it's still a good video, I was a bit surprised and I don't think it's that accurate. Also I was hoping for some in depth battery comparison

4:25 Hate Exynos (and a happy S23U user) - but I think the phone setup wasn't quite done yet (there's a notification he swiped away when you look carefully)... so that might explain it

Please compare s24 regular Exynos and Snapdragon versions. Battery life is vital for a huge amount of people

It's not even about what processor has less or more power, it's about Samsung selling devices with different hardware, but named the same. There is no free choice, you're stuck with whatever Samsung decided is ok for your region. That should not be acceptable in this price range !
