Jon Snow, born Aegon Targaryen, is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, the late Prince of Dragonstone. From infancy, Jon is presented as the bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark, Lyanna's brother, and raised alongside Eddard's lawful children at Winterfell. Jon's true parentage is kept secret from everyone, including Jon himself, in order to protect him from those that sought the complete annihilation of House Targaryen. Jon joins the Night's Watch and is later elected as Lord Commander. As a result of several controversial decisions, such as allowing the wildlings to settle south of the Wall, Jon is murdered in a mutiny but is resurrected by Melisandre. Freed from his Night's Watch vows, Jon and his half-sister Sansa Stark retake Winterfell from House Bolton, restoring House Stark's dominion over the North. Jon is declared King in the North. Jon negotiates with Daenerys Targaryen for an alliance against the White Walkers in the imminent Great War. Later he pledges himself and his army to Daenerys, whom he falls in love with, subsequently abdicating his throne and being named Warden of the North.

Well Jon Snow is Amon Targaryen And obviously Kit Harington is not going to return for the same “I don’t want it” and “she’s my queen” dialogue that destroyed his character in season 8. Also considering kit hearington has work lined up at Disney and is in good with them it’s not like he NEEDED to come back he has work available to him So I’m pretty sure he’s not desperate.

They said it was Kit Harrington‘s idea to come back. If that’s the case he’s coming back to take up the mantle that his character was always meant to be. It’s probably in his contract saying that he is allowed to make alterations to the script, if he feels dissatisfied about something. After what happened last time I don’t think Kit would sign on unless he fully trusts whoever they have coming in to write this new show, or he’s allowed to essentially micromanage the new writing team.

In this new show doubt he will let the writers try to settle him as king of the north, hand of the king, or warden of the north. Because we the audience already know who Jon is we know what position he was truly born to have. And I feel like it would be a disservice and almost disrespectful to even attempt to try to settle him in those roles as his Permanent ending role.

As for “king beyond the wall” well at first he might be called that in this new show, however that’s kind of an insult to just leave him in that position also, he was born in the seven Kingdoms so we’re his parents the adoptive ones and his real ones. He grew up in the seven kingdoms. He didn’t even first find Ghost north of the wall😂. He has no ties to the north beyond the wall that would justify why he should be the king of ONLY that region as his characters endpoint. Sure he did fall in love with that one girl but aside from that he really didn’t belong there. Jon has no real deep ties north of the wall, let alone enough ties to justify him becoming king permanently. If anything Tormund should be king beyond the wall in the end. that makes infinitely more sense then to trying to force someone who doesn’t really belong North of the wall in the first place to be king.

I can’t see Kit being satisfied or signing any contract with anything less than guaranteeing “King of the 7 or 6 kingdoms” as his character’s permanent ending. The man was pretty much the “Aragorn” of the show GOT but they didn’t even give him his birthright his real birthright. A lot of things from season 8 could’ve been forgiven (By the non-book readers like me) if they at least stuck the landing with whoever the ended up with the Crown in the end of the original GOT show.

As for the plot points leading up to this shows conclusion I have a few theories.

1. They decide to ratcon Dany’s death, she stabbed but not quite dead the dragon picks her up flies away takes her to some sort of priest brings her back to life tracks down the unsullied amounts of massive invasion force again and seeks revenge on Jon and the kingdoms of Westeros.

2. They find a way to bring the night king back. the first one or they make bran him considering he got scratched/grabbed by him they could spin that into how he becomes the new night king. Because his mark that he got was left untreated with any kind of Magic healing or something for an extended period time it solidified a part of the night king in Bran. As for Arya who got grabbed maybe the OG night King Magic was voided due to the fact he was immediately killed after getting his hands on her spell didn’t have enough time to solidify a hold on Arya so she wouldn’t be affected but in bran’s case.

It Could possibly make some sense why bran said “why do you think I came all this way” after becoming king, because (only a few episodes previous) he was saying “I can’t be Lord of anything I’m the 3 eyed raven” likely implying that also to any form of authority in any government…., The reason why Bran seemed to have a drastic shift on his stance as to where he should be in government/his overall roll could be due to that Mark slowly taking him over. Or at least that’s how they could explain it in this new show???? 🤷‍♂️

3. They can make a foreign force be the new main enemy. Like those slave cities dany overthrew sees an opportunity now she’s dead to expand their reach to Westeros out of vengeance. Or a brand new foreign force we’ve never seen throws their hat in the ring to try to take over due to the fact that Westeros is still recovering from a war and some new king or queen is looking to expand their territory.

4. They focus on the aftermath of Game of Thrones season eight. And maybe a new internal rebellion arises to overthrow bran or Sansa, and if not to necessarily overthrow either of them just someone looking to expand their reach across the kingdoms considering how weak and they are due to roughly a decade of fighting. “chaos is a ladder”

In fact, i dont care about anything that happened in the final season and because of it I lack any motivation to watch any of the series again. George RR should be appalled of what HBO did to the story. However, I am willing to give other related shows a chance.
