In only its second year on the market, there's nothing brand new about the 2024 Nissan Ariya, except the price. It actually went down. That's because Nissan needs to sell these ASAP and that's been a challenge so far. So let's dive in and see how this compares to the Hyundai IONIQ 5, Tesla Model Y and more.

Surprisingly lukewarm review for a VERY good car. I have had an Evolve+ for 8 months and it has been outstanding. My range (driving fairly conservatively) is north of 340 miles and while the displays may not be “Gee whiz, WOW!, they are easily read and convey what you are looking for clearly. Storage may be smaller than voluminous competitors but I have never found myself wishing for more. And while blistering charging speeds seem to be the focus of every review, they are not healthy in repeated use for a battery and Nissan’s moderate speed is far better for battery longevity. There were some errors in your review (power liftgate NOT exclusive to Platinum+, and single motor isn’t 335hp) and unless you are race tracking your car with groceries scattered on the passenger floor, there isn’t a concern about things sliding into the driver area. You also missed ‘B’ Mode for regenerative braking which is a lesser version of the aggressive e-step. For those of you shopping an EV I would at least encourage a test drive as I was sold after 15 minutes. This on the heels of testing Kia EV6, Hyundai Ionic 5 and 6 and Tesla Model Y. If you’re looking for a boy wonder Sport SUV this ain’t it. If your looking for a rewarding introduction to the EV experience this checks every box.

Bought my 2024 4 months ago, and I'm happy with it so far fully charged I get almost 300 miles at 27 dollars, payment is really low under 400bucks a month and I got a free charge for a year at my dealer!

Instrument cluster for 2004? You're kidding, come on. It looks great.

Loveee how these things look. Best looking EV of all classes at the moment IMO
EV9 and ID4 are nice looking also however

Test drove one today. It’s a great car, the main issue is the price. The 2025=Ioniq 5 will soon be eligible for the rebate, the Id4, equinox and blazer EV’s already are. Not sure about the mache.

I’d much rather get a $7, 500 discount up front than have to file a tax form for a rebate. Nissan is offering a $7, 500 rebate, plus extra incentives depending on the state. Colorado actually has some of the best lease deals out there. I leased a 2024 Ariya Platinum+ e-4ORCE, 2 tone white, here in SoCal for $350 a month, including tax. That’s for 12k miles a year over 24 months. It’s the top of the line model! The car is very refined and it drive better than my wife's 2024 Acura MDX A Spec. The interior is better than other EVs in the segment.

At least it’s way better than the bz4x or RZ

The addition of a "frunk" is a nice addition but there is no way it presence or absence is going to determine my buying choice.

I agree I would be concerned about something rolling under my peddle as well, not having the middle well… They should have added a box to put a trash bag for garbage or something like that

I was close to buying this car, but to be completely sure I took it on a longer trip and unfortunately the seats were uncomfortable not only for me but also for my wife. In my current Qashqai in the top version, they are much more comfortable. Unfortunately the manufacturer saved money where it could not be and did not sell the car at all.

Have an Ariya myself, there are some valid points on this review but many others that I disagree or are told on the wrong perspective. Doesn't tell the full story.

It’s new to me. Didn’t know Nissan had an e-Car.

I don't get???.... it's a nice review but why not put some luggage, put three people in the back and do an everyday road trip that people do. Like I said this is not bad review all of these review do not match 90% people driving style or commute. I'm hesitant between this and a Telsa.

4:11 Why do people keep repeating this information? Show me one example of a Hyundai (any model) or Kia (any model) charging at any speed at or over 300killowatts (can be in any conditions, because if it's possible, then at least one person should be able to come up with footage of at least one instance of it happening anywhere in the world).

Should do some better basic research before spouting out false information in a review.

I’ve always liked the Ariya, I’m glad that they are cheaper now. The paint quality on that one doesn’t look that great, the Driver side looks like it’s been repainted?😮

15 minutes to charge on the competitors. Which ones are those, and how much do they cost...
