Interesting take on not using packing cubes. I like what you did. I just got back from a one week trip and used carry-on for the first time.
Got to say the one thing I would change is carrying the TSA toiletries bag in your carry-on. Having to deal with taking so much stuff out to put in trays, there is now way I would want to have to open my carry-on to pull out that clear bag. I kept mine in my backpack. So much easier.

I’ve always packed a carry-on only when traveling so I wouldn’t have to pay a bunch of extra fees. I did an 11 day trip to Disney World and only brought a carry-on. Thankfully it was in June where it’s hot and humid so packing shorts and tank tops were easy and didn’t take up much room! I even brought 4 pairs of ears and 3 pairs of shoes. Definitely a puzzle. 😂

It helps packing a carry-on because I’m less likely to buy merchandise that I don’t really need. It saves money for me every time! I’m finally building a capsule wardrobe and I love it. 🥰

I always check the weather. And then bring separates and the basics.

I like the Aveeno, CeraVe, and VaniCream cleansing bars. They work well even in hard water.

I love minimalist packing also. So freeing! I just packed carry on only for 3 weeks in Mexico… including snorkel gear! I did have access to a washer. Have you tried shampoo and conditioner bars yet? I love Basin.

Here in the UK most airlines don’t have such generous carry on sizes :( and you can only take 1 bag
