Disposable sheets is bonkers. Hotels in the UK boul wash theur sheets and towels- you are much nore likely to encounter germs on the tube, handles, seatbelts, lift buttons etc.

Hahaha. I thought I was the only one who took disinfectant to places where I am staying. In hostels, it is a bit more complicated since so many people come and go in and out of showers but if I stay in a hotel or so, I disinfect everything properly with some good hospital wipes that I got from work in a plastic bag. The disposable sheets seem like a bit too much and I find it a pity that more garbage is produced when you are going to the UK but it is your personal preference.

Like a comment I read somewhere, I do not take clothes for more than a week, I normally do not even take clothes for more than 3 days. It does get boring and repetitive but as long as they are clean, I do not care. The underwear and socks dry quickly. Since I normally wear oversized shirts, I can give them a couple of uses. If it is warm, I can wear a dress or tank top several times before washing them. When I was in a hostel in Bristol I asked the girls in my room if they wanted to do our laundry together, since it was so damn expensive (8 GBP for washing and drying). We put all our clothing together and had a full load.

All my toiletries fit in a 1 L bag. Shampoo-soap bar goes separate. Normally do not use make-up so one less burden.

Great video. Thanks for sharing! :)

Impressive to get that much into your minimal luggage :o I use the same luggage. It looks pretty heavy to me!
Tbh I only pack for a week and then launder. For a week I need 7 outfits, maybe a dress for evening outings, that's maybe 6-7 items (mix/match tops/bottoms, eg 4 tops, 2 bottoms plus a dress...) and apart from a walking shoe I'd need an alternative, as using the same shoes daily is far worse to me than re-wearing an item of clothing once or twice. I also need very few toiletries/cosmetics - comb, toothbrush, deodorant, lip balm, a hair tie, some headache tablets...
As you say, the sheet and hotel cleaning is your thing, but seems ridiculous to any European, I would think! Heyho, we are all different, I need to have some knitting with me for my sanity ;) I tend not to take "just in case" items, as I don't go to places where I couldn't buy what I need IF I even really needed it... and if I'm hungry or thirsty I will buy real food as I go, too. I guess we Europeans don't really snack like north Americans, it's just 3 meals a day for us!

I always bring a few pieces of headache tablets, Vicks vaporub or Tiger Balm, Band-aids with me aside from Imodium and rehydrating salts.

I think this is great I used to always over pack and never used half the stuff I'd bring 😅 it became more stress and annoying carrying extra stuff for what if. I now carry what I will actually use and if ever I need something random you can always just buy it

Your packing cubes were impressive with that many clothes and items. Great job! 👍

I always bring meds with me - my daily meds (antidepressents, BC, & vitamins), ibuprofen, tylenol, allegra, aleve, tums, nausa meds, and a small first aid kit with just bandaids, alcohol wipes pretty much

You definitely know how to pack . It's very smart to do a capsule wardrobe for trips. We do take meds. We both have prescription ones. I take our daily does containers. Also I take tylenol, benadryl ( I have a synthetic red dyes allergy. I really need to get an eppipen. ), and antacids. Aleve and immodium would be great, too. We always take snacks. I would love to go to the UK! There is so much we want to see. Have a wonderful trip!❤

And then the handles will break, seams will rip, zipper will break and you’ll be looking for another bag. 😅😅😅 Too over packed
