Minimalist Packing for 4 DAYS in a backpack || Pack With Me + TIPS

Hey! I recently did a 4 day trip with a backpack and here’s how I packed it. I challenged myself to channel my inner minimalist to pack everything for the long weekend in my backpack because the airline I flew (JetBlue) changed their basic fare policy to not include carry-ons anymore, so we can only bring a personal item or else pay for a checked bag or $65 at the gate.

A few years ago, I could never do this. I went to Minneapolis for 2 days, 1 night and could barely fit my stuff into my North Face Borealis Backpack at the time! (I did have to bring a bath towel + shower flip flops.) I'm pretty proud of my improvement lol.

——EXTRA TIPS——
- If you don’t need a lot of a liquid like skincare, put it in a clean contacts lens case that you don’t need!
- Roll your clothes to be able to pack more. Play around with roll sizes and see what works best. Keep the most wrinkle-able items on the outside.

——CLOTHING/SHOES——
-1 Sweatshirt*
-1 Black sneakers*
-1 Sandals
-1 Dress
-1 Tank top*
-1 Hiking top/crop top
-3 T Shirts
-3 Workout or Lounging Shorts
-1 Jean Shorts
-1 Leggings*
-8 underwear + 2.5 bras
*items worn on the plane

——OUTFITS——
- Day 1: Airplane outfit (Sneakers, Sweatshirt, tank top, leggings—change to jean shorts)
- Day 2: Hiking outfit (workout top, workout bottoms + maybe jean shorts)
- Day 3: Dress
- Day 4: Sweatshirt, T Shirt, leggings, sneakers

Luckily I have a backpack with a lot of compartments plus a bottle holder and zipper pocket on the sides which helps a lot!

I understand this was more doable because I was traveling to a warmer area but I might do a 3-day Fall in New York City backpack version where I also flew Jetblue.

I do 3 weeks trip + work just with my small backpack (25 cm x 33 cm) and i also bring not much.
I do minimalism cz i go to work (in 3 different city) for 3 weeks.
As i girl i bring :
1. 4 clothes (3 t-shirt, 2 formal for work) all in black
2. 1 Jacket (black colour)
3. 2 pants (1 short, 1 longpants/formal)
4. Tumblr (for water 350ml) cz i do walking so far lol and i feel thirsty
5. Portable Toothpaste (small size)
6. Small soap (really small size)
8. Make up (1 Powder, 1 lipstick)
9. Skincare (1 facewash, 1 serum, 1 Sunscreen, 1 Sunblock, 1 small size body lotion)
10. Shoes (1 in black)
11. Sandals (1 in black)
12. Plastic
13. Vitamin C.
14. Laptop 13 inch
15. Cable (adaptor, harddisk, mouse, wireless bluetooth earphone, Phone & Laptop charger)
16. Glasses
17. 1 socks (back and cream)
18. Verysmall sachet liquid detergen
19.. Wallet
20. 4 Seamless Underwear

Good idea. I'm an overpacker and am traveling for only 3 days and I'm still bringing a carry-on and backpack. But if I can smush my clothes flat in a ziploc bag hopefully everything will fit in just the backpack. Toiletries is the hardest for me to pack, even sample sizes. This video helped alot. Thanks!!

I use to pack a small backpack inside of my bigger one and I use the small one as a packing cube, so I fill it with clothes . That way It has double purpose instead of just wasting some space. 🥰👍

That's how I packed for 4 days in Arizona. I always take way more underwear than needed. I used a backpack with a couple of packing cubes and pouches. Didn't need my laptop so that helped.
