As a sometime university instructor (for a couple of decades) I make the following points: First, both the trans and non-trans student supporters of the trans craze are in the grip of social contagion. They're highly unlikely to have thought through the logic and implications of their stated (or perhaps howled) beliefs. The real reason for their "activism" is smugly tribal virtue-signalling: "we are the good people with the right values; anyone who opposes us is necessarily bad and must be silenced." They are confused kids desperately seeking some kind of identity, and they are not adept at critical thinking---which, to be fair, seems no longer to be taught in schools or universities. (I taught argumentation--including recognition of slanted language and logical fallacies--and was astonished at their inability to recognize and counter the most obvious propaganda.) One wonders what it would take to change their minds: being defeated or injured in female athletic competition by a hulking brute claiming to be a woman? Being assaulted in one of the university's "all-gender" toilets? (Girls and women are nine times more likely to be sexually assaulted in such a facility than in a female-only space.) Second, university authorities are now so pusillanimous, so greedy for fees, that they have caved to this despicable trend and enthusiastically throw under the bus anyone who threatens their corporate and individual livelihoods. In doing so they have utterly betrayed their social mandate, and they need to be called out loudly and frequently.

Time for adults to take control of these radical youngsters. The moral mind needs to accept that their morals do not supercede that of others.
