Canada’s government is facing pressure to host an Islamophobia summit in the wake of London, Ont.'s deadly attack. Mike Drolet reports on the way the community is honouring the four victims from one Muslim family and the donations pouring in for the sole survivor of the attack, nine-year-old Fayez Afzaal.

Plus, the leaders of G7 nations are in the United Kingdom for an in-person meeting to discuss topics like the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is asking his counterparts to donate 1 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses. Canada is set to give out 100 million doses and Abigail Bimman looks into whether that will be enough to help struggling nations fight the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Eric Sorensen looks at how Canada went from a rocky start to COVID-19 vaccinations, to one of the world leaders in doling out doses.

And Canada is about to begin trials of psychedelic mushrooms being used as a treatment for mental illnesses. Robin Gill reports on the recent magic mushroom boom.

I once knew a kid who had magic mushrooms growing in his backyard. He brought a big bag of them to school and was selling them for $5 a HANDFUL. lol. Everyone was going nuts in school that year. One day the high school principal marched right into our classroom, approached this guy, sitting three chairs away from me. Says, 'David, you'll have to show me what's in your bookbag'. David says, 'hold on', jumps up, grabs his bag, and runs out of the room. Everyone is silent. Less than a minute later, David comes tearing back into the classroom, dives back into his seat, holds his bookbag out to the principal, who was as stunned as everyone else and says 'ok, you can look now'. lol.
