A fabulous slow cooked dish for grey winter days - something to cheer us up. David is cooking osso buco with herb dumplings, finishing it off with a zesty, punchy gremolata of garlic, lemon and parsley. Comfort food at its absolute best!

It's perfect for using up the heat of your refractory oven but no problem if you don't have one; David will tell you how to keep the heat up in a steel oven too.

The recipe for the video is on our blog here -

Do leave us a thumbs up and a comment if you like what we're up to - we really love hearing from you.

I would love an overview video of cool dishes for the falling oven in general. It often says "you can do roasts" in cookbooks but what does that actually mean? Are there any dishes you can put in around 180 degrees in the evening and come back in the morning? Also what about vegetarian roasts? Thanks a lot for you fantastic videos. You make my day!
